What is “Life Visioning”?
Life visioning is a spiritual practice developed by Michael Beckwith, the founder of the Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles. It is a process of creating a personal vision for one's life and then using that vision to guide one's actions and decisions. The goal of life visioning is to align oneself with one's highest potential and purpose, and to create a life that is fulfilling, meaningful, and in harmony with the universe.
Michael Beckwith
Michael Beckwith is a spiritual teacher and author who is the founder of the Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles, California. He is known for his teachings on the power of intention and the law of attraction, and has written several books on spirituality and personal growth.
Beckwith’s teachings led him to become a frequent TV and radio guest as well as speaker. He is the founder of the Life Visioning Process, a spiritual practice that helps individuals create a vision for their lives and take action to bring that vision to fruition.
How the process works
The life visioning process involves several steps. First, one must create a clear and detailed vision of what they want their life to look like. This vision should be specific and actionable, and should include both short-term and long-term goals. Once the vision has been created, one must then align their thoughts, emotions, and actions with the vision, and take consistent, daily action to bring the vision to life.
In addition to creating and aligning with a personal vision, life visioning also involves letting go of limiting beliefs and negative patterns of thought and behavior. It also involves practicing gratitude and mindfulness, and connecting with a higher power or source of guidance and support. By following these steps, one can create a life that is in alignment with their deepest values, desires, and goals.
The book
In the book, Beckwith explains the four stages of consciousness and how we move through them: Victim, Manifester, Channel, and Being. The goal of the Life Visioning Process is to apply it to all of the pillars of your life, including relationships, finances, livelihood, and spiritual practice. The book has 877 positive reviews on Amazon as of this writing.
How “Life Visioning” is different from True North Visionaries
🎱 The approach we take at True North is unique. We prefer to create a Vision of success, rather than concrete, arbitrary goals that might not even bring you happiness.
✨ While the Life Visioning program focuses a lot on spiritual inquiry, at True North Visionaries we believe that your spiritual growth is one aspect of your life, and that confidently solidifying your core values is really where clarity comes from.
🤓 Beckwith also explains the “dance of co-creation―establishing the balance between effort and surrender”. At True North I truly believe that you can make your life happen instead of letting it happen to you. There is a definition of success for everyone.

I had great expectations for this book after reading the reviews, which I am now at the conclusion must be people from his congregation. I was led to it by Derek Rydall's book "Emergence" which recommended it. Rydall's book was much better and I suppose the "shout out" to this book is because he is a protégé of Beckwith. Let me start by saying that I read over 70 books a year in this arena of life and this was by far the worst. If you are brand spanking new to this area it may be somewhat more useful. At best all I got out of this book was a few questions to ask myself in a slightly different manner than I had thought of. Honestly, I felt cheated out of my money. I know most books now are mainly a few ideas "fluffed" with personal stories to fill pages, but this took it to the extreme. The one star review is because I do feel appreciation for having gone through this experience as it has massively escalated the confidence I have developed for the book I am developing, with much less "fluff." I'm not a fan of leaving negative anything, I just had to get this off my chest. Good vibes to all! | I value this work tremendously because it showed me the way, step by step, to accomplish my higher purpose. I "learned" how to meditate about 35 years ago and while the practice felt good and helped me to center, I found no other use for it. After not just reading, but studying this book together with the other members of my "spirituality group, and doing the work as well as the exercises, I feel excited And energized. I now know that my higher purpose will be revealed to me as long as I continue this practice. I would recommend this book for anyone who wishes to evolve their consciousness towards a higher level and become all that they could possibly be. At first I thought, I wish I had read this book when I was 30-years-old. It doesn't matter. I am thrilled that we found it by accident and intuited that it might be worth while. That turned out to be an understatement. I am currently 76-years-old and know that in the remainder of my life I will be a better citizen of planet Earth, a better friend, partner, teacher and member of all my various communities. I am filled with gratitude to Michael Bernard Beckwith and as well as all my fellow travelers on this planet at this time and during all times. | |
